SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY focuses on what clients wants to achieve through therapy rather than on the problem(s) that made them seek help. This approach does not dwell on the past, but focuses on the present and the future. The past cannot be changed, but one’s attitude about the past can be altered. We work with individuals to recognize how the past has affected them and to re-process the memories of the past. In a confidential and caring environment we help the individual develop positive goals and make changes that are needed to achieve a comfortable, safe, and fulfilling future.

Services Provided:

COUNSELING and PSYCHOTHERAPY utilizes a combination of life skills education and various psychological techniques that are targeted to enhance your quality of life. Treatment plans are developed for individuals with:

• Difficulties associated with life situations, life stages, or situational problems in the home or at work that cause stress, anxiety, panic disorders, or depression.
• Coping with challenges caused by personal or family matters, health problems, preparing or recovering from surgery, chronic illness, or pain management.

SEX THERAPY includes psychological therapy and education related to:

• All types of issues related to sexuality including relationships, sexual addiction, transgender issues, cross-dressing, compulsive behavior, GLBT issues, sexual dysfunction, etc.

EMDR THERAPY (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a scientifically-proven therapy used in the treatment of:

• Post-traumatic stress caused by any form of abuse (emotional, physical, sexual), rape, natural disaster, loss of a child, catastrophic illness, military service experience, civil service experience (police, fire, EMS, medical personnel) or other trauma-related disturbances.
